It is with mixed emotions that we announce Andy Wilke’s retirement from the Autocorrect. As Chief Science Officer, Andy helped to drive and define the technological footprint of the organization and our continuous experimentation in the pursuit of the perfect sound.
His influences can be felt in all aspects of the organization, most especially in the songs National Security Love Letter, Ant Farm, Courtesy Patrol and the all-important breakdown in the Mesmerist.
His relaxed and low-key persona helped to bring people together in otherwise awkward moments and his positive attitude helped to make easy many a difficult situation.
Please join us in congratulating Andy on his successful career and in wishing him luck in all future endeavors.
In the heat of the moment and the rush to finish the artwork, I ended up omitting a few people who should have been thanked. While we could just say “anyone not specifically named is included in The Fun Committee”, that’s not enough.
So, in no particular order, except roughly alphabetical…
City of Champaign (list out the names of all residents)
Former mayor Don Gerard
Frank Herbert (but not his son)
Kim Stanley Robinson
Kowloon Walled City
The Link Amp God
Rex’s relatives (listed individually—first in chronological and then in alphabetical order)
